Which state do I file in
I am a New York resident however I own a home in North Carolina. Do I need to file taxes in North Carolina as well as New York?

File in NY. If home in NC is purely for personal use no need to file in NC.

I agree with Delite. If you have earned NO income in NC, no tax return is required there.
