I am Nonresident alien from india on F-1 visa. My question is, in my fedral form 1040NR i claim standard deduction/itemize deduction of 5150$(US-India treaty), do i need to add this amount(in form M1 form line 2 http://www.taxes.state.mn.us/taxes/individ/forms/m1.pdf) again when i file my state tax for minnesota.

Claim the standard deduction for the Minnesota tax return, NOT the $5,150 that is for the FEDERAL return only.
