Small Claims: Payee offer to put it in Box 3 if I give them W-9

Hi

I went to small claims for breaching an agreement (a big international company) and to recover part of the loss (since limited by a cap since its small claims court) & won $5k.

They (defendent) initially threatened to Not to pay (as directed by the small claims court) unless I complete W-9; I was stressed and kept quite beside it was an email attachment and never knew what the W-9 looks like.

They still sent the payment with all "0"s for my SSN.

Now I contacted them stating that it should have been in Box 3 of the 1099-Misc and Not Box 7 of the 1099-Misc.

They emailed me stating that they will change it as soon as I complete the W-9.

Questions:
1) Should I just attach the email and submit it as Box-3 to IRS - and Not pay SE Taxes?
2) Should I make an appointment and get it done in person so there is no chance that they will take the W-9 and not make the change?
3) Any harm to me by submitting the W-9 to the defendent in anyway or should I give my Corporations Tax-ID instead?
