Should my Sign on Bonus be taxed in the check or should I take care of it myself at the end of the year?

Usually a sign on bonus is taxed (as are most bonuses) right in the paycheck.

The bonus IS subject to withholding at 30%, and is added to your W-2 for your annual tax return.
