Transition from OPT to h1 visa!
    Hello,

I just graduated with my Bachelor's degree and am currently working on my OPT. My OPT expires on May 31st 2009. My company is sponsoring me for the h1 visa which they will file for in April. But I will not know if I get the visa or not until June or July(thats how long I heard it takes). Since my OPT expires end of May, can I still work until I hear from immigration as to whether I got my h1 visa or not? I am not sure what to do. I just started working here in June 2008 and I really do not want to leave. Anything I can do?

You can't work after May 31, 2009. Return to your home country and come back when H-1 is approved.
