Correction for 1099 Qualified dividends [ 1 Answers ]
I received a correction for my 1099 from my broker. The correction was only in one field "qualified dividends", it's increased by only one dollar ($1) . I already made my taxes, Do I need re-do it to correct it with $1 increase in the 1099 "qualified dividends" ? Please advise. Thanks

I live in Georgia and might need to take an early withdrawal on my retirement account. Am I correct when I figure that it will be 32% since I will pay a mandatory 20% federal income tax withholding plus 10% early withdrawal fee plus 2% Georgia state tax withholding? Can this be right?! Thanks,...

I came to the US in summer 2004 as an F1(citizen of China), finished an MS in May 2006, started a job on OPT in July and my H1 began on October 2006. I am not sure whether I should file the Federal tax as a Non-residence or a residence for the tax year 2006? Thank you
Qualified student loans [ 1 Answers ]
Hi I am filling the resident 1040 form and I see a line for student loan interest deduction. Does credit card loans count? I took out some credit card loans while I was on F-1 visa but I paid a lot of interest on those loans last year. Can I take this deduction? Thanks in advance
