Overpaid my tax

I filed my tax return for this year and it turns out that i owe some amount and that i paid way too much than what was required.
I figured out that i require 1040x Form to make any amendments.
Are there any other forms for making amendments ?

Deadline for tax returns is April 15th so can i submit the required forms before the deadline and expect my tax retruns to be corrected ?

Appreciate your help.

Siddhartha Gandhi:

If you file Form 1040X and have supporting documentation, such as Schedule A, B, C, D or E, that was not submitted with the original return, or was changed by the amendment, you should send the supporting documentation with the Form 1040X.
