old tax refile?

can i go back to an old tax claim and refile it if i found additional information to file and if so then how far back can i go?

MukatA Tax Expert Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: CA Posts: 2,146	For amended tax return you file form 1040X. If you have some missing income to report, then you can go as needed. If this additional information will result in tax refund, then you can go back up to 2004 return. Refund claim must be made within three years of the due date.
