Non Residential Real Estate Taxes in New York City
I am currently a resident of New York City.
I am thinking of moving outside of New York and renting my apartment.
What are the tax implications of owning a property in NYC, but living outside the state.
My understanding is that the laws changed in recent years and there is an extra tax for outside residents.

On a similar note: Does the state of New York or NYC levy a tax on the sale of a property in NYC if the owner lives outside the city or state?
(ie New Jersey levies a 2% tax on realestate for non residents of the state>

These are local tax questions that go in depth into NY and NYC tax law.

I cannot answer them, so I recommend that you seek counsel from a NYC-based tax consultant.
