Nj Sdi Sui

Asked Mar 20, 2006, 07:40 AM — 1 Answer
I work for a client in NC, but my employer is based in NJ. When I started working for this client my employer started to deduct NJ state taxes (I have never ever stayed or worked in NJ). On pointing the error out he changed it to NC. For NJ state taxes already deducted, employer says I should file the state tax for NJ and get a refund. I am able to figure out how to get refund for most of the NJ state taxes deducted, except for SDI, SUI etc. Can you please help me as to what form or line I should fill in to get that refund.

Thanks

Sorry, but the SDI and SUI are probably gone for good. I know of no way to request a refund.

If the amounts are high enough to be worth the trouble, contact the NJ tax authority, explain the situation and request the procedures for claiming a refund.
