Is Nassau County, Long Island, part of New York City for tax purposes?

I was sentenced with 3 years probation for a DUI. It has been 18 months from the Date of sentencing. This is my first and only offense. How do I go about getting my probation terminated?

Does anyone know recent (past 2000) numbers re population statistics for Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Long Island, NY? I'm trying to see if there has been an increase or decrease in those two counties in the last five years or so.
