    How do I get my deceased mother's w2s for o8 and 09?
    My mother suffering from dementia passed away in November and did not file 08 taxes. How do I get her previous w2s to fill out 08 and 09 taxes for her estate. I am the only child and executor.

    You contact her employers and ask for copies, explaining the situation and providing documentation if they require it.

    Agreed, you will have to merely contact the places she worked. Also of course you review all of her personal papers,

    Barring that, as the executor, you can petition the IRS for her tax transcripts for 2008 and 2009, which will have her W-2 information in the transcript.

    But go to the employer FIRST; quicker and less complicated.
