I think someone stole the money I deserve. The money I got back from my taxes just does not make sense...

How many parents does your daughter have, and how many households does she spend time in ?

First, this question has been asked and answered many times in the Taxes forum (where I moved this to). We get lots of these questions. However yours seems a little different.
What usually happens is one parent claims their child as a dependent without notifying the other parent. The other parent goes to e-file and its rejected because the child had already been claimed on another return.
But you seem to be saying you successfully file and got your refund. But that also doesn't make sense. When you submit your return, you are telling the IRS how much you expect as a refund. If the IRS checks your return and calculates a different number, then they should inform you of the change not just send a refund check for a different amount.
When the IRS changes the calculations, they DO send you a notice about how and why they made the change. It usually follows the refund by about about a week.
