H1B - 2 W2 forms.

I changed my job in October 2005 and received W2 from both, my new as well as old employer. I have been in US for more than 2 years now and as per the definition of "Resident" based on "Presence Test" I qualify to be a resident of USA. My question is, filing my tax return will be as simple as going through something like Turbo-Tax? I believe I need to fill just the 1040 form. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am not even sure about what all deductions I can get. I was a student till June 2005 (was still on H1B).

Combining the W-2s should be relatively simple for TurboTax. If you were a student, you probably qualify for Education credits.

Other than the eeducation credits, doing your taxes should not be a real problem.

Thanks man.

Just one more thing came to my mind. I filed my taxes last year through turbotax, I had submitted just the 1040A form. I have been in USA since 2002 and I was on F1 status till 30 Sept 2004 and got H1 status on Oct 1st 2004. So I was on H1 for just over 90 days. Does this mean that I wasn't actually a resident alien in 2004 and I should have submitted 1040NR? It never occurred to me till I went through some of the posts on your website. And if this is true, then is there any way I can correct this?? Are any amendments to previous returns possible? I know you must have answered this question a lot of times, if you can direct me to previous relevant postings that's fine too. Thanks a lot and really appreciate your help.
