Google Adsense , MLMs like quixtar

Hello Could you please let me know if a person is on H1 work visa , could consider to start this as a business as they would be getting 1099 misc and can they file schedule C.

We also know that winning more than $600 in gambling will also get a 1099 Misc.

So is it legal to start quixtar or google adsense kind if mlm or publishing business ? as this H1 person is not working for any one other than his employeer.

Whether you can embark on a separate independent business while on a H-1 visa for a different employer is a legal question best answered by an immigration attorney. Recommend you post that question on the LAW forum of AskMeHelpDesk.

If you decide to enter into such a business, you must report the income and expenses on Schedule C and Form 1040.

Gambling winnings are usually reported on a Form W-2G.
