| Double taxation
Hi,
I am a US citizen of Indian origin. I am wroking in the US and hold non-qualified stock options (of my company which is co-headquared out of the US and India).
If I now go and settle (long term) in India, and excercise my options, will I be liable to paying any taxes in the US?
(I understand that for these kind of option, if I exercise these in the US, I am liable to taxes (equal to income tax) at the time of exercising the option. In India, however, no taxes are applicable at the time of exercising the options.)
