    Drmblvr40:

If the disability income is your only source of income and you have not received a multiple-year back payment, then you probably do not have enough income to file.

Disability income is not considered earned income, so you are not eligible for the Earned Income Credit, so there is no reason for you to file.

    Probably not, no!

What is the source of the disability? Government? Military? Private policy? From your employer?

The first three are NOT taxable.

The last one (From your Employer) IS taxable, because it is considered a replacement of your salary.

Sorry, but if you have no taxable income, there is no need to file a tax return.

To the last poster, the answer is NO. Workmen's compensation is NOT taxable, and if it is your ONLY source of income, you have NO filing requirement.

The retirement disability is probably taxable income.

Social Security Disability, by itself, is NOT taxable income.

If you have no other taxable income, there is NO reason to file a tax return.

I just left my husband and not sure what I'm supposed to do about Taxes.
I'm on disability and he worked off and on this past year and than put in for an extension but still hasn't done anything about them. Will I be held responsible and if so what should I do?

File the return by yourself as Married Filing Separately and that will cover you.

I think you should send your husband his paperwork, so he can take care of it. You are being horrible about this, and are making things worse for me and everyone else, including you.
I can't get a job without my papers, I can't get insurance without my papers, and the doctors have found something on my lung with an x-ray.
after all I've done for you and your medical issues, you could sure do the right thing and send me my papers.
