Do I need to file?

I received no income this year..only child support. Do I still need to file?(I have 2 kids, but it was specified that after the divorce, my ex would claim our son, and I our daughter)

Since child support is not taxable income, you have no legal requirement to file.

Of course, if you had some earned income, you would want to fil to get the Earned Income Credit. Something to think about for 2006.
