Claiming moving expenses? Can I?

I moved from FL to TN in the last tax year. Someone has said that if I have receipts from my moving company I can "claim" these on my taxes. First of all, can I? Second, how do I do this??

Thanks in advance,
A clueless worker drone

If the move was because of a change in jobs, then yes you can.

You need to file Form 1040 and with it, claim your allowable moving expenses on Form 3903.

HistorianChick agrees: Thank you. I did realize that I have to file a 1040 with it, but as to the specifics of the matter... I'm clueless. I'll probably end up taking my taxes to H&R this year, rather than e-filing. We'll see! Thansk for your help!

E-filing can be done through H&R

It can also be done FOR FREE if you qualify.

Check it out on Internal Revenue Service.
