S.C. Dept. of Revenue

I received a response to my question from Atlanta concerning taxes I owe from 2006 approx. $4000. I had written requesting a payment plan but never received an answer now where I worked received a levy to garnish my wages. I have called them and they continue to tell me that since a levy has been issued they can't do anything to stop it now. It use to not be that way because I worked in payroll for over 20 years and we received levys all the time and associates were able to get it stopped and have payments set up!!!

The response I received from Atlanta was they had the understanding that if I talked to them about a payment plan they would work with me as they understood but that isn't what I'm getting from S.C. Dept of Revenue. They did come down from 25% of my wages to 12 1/2 percent which is still $50/week which I can't afford. Please tell what I can do because this starts coming out this week!!
