    CASDI deductible for Federal?
    Is CASDI deductable for Federal purposes? I have a W2 with CASDI in box 14. I only worked in California for a short time but was never a resident.

    In a correction to previous postings, I have discovered that CASDI IS DEDUCTIBLE as a state income tax.

    It is deducted on Line #5 of Schedule A as an itemized deduction.
