Can I use the copy of W2 for tax return filing?

I havn't received the original W2 from my employer yet. But I have the pdf format of the same, can I use it for tax filing? or do I need the original W2 itself?

Yes, you can use the PDF W-2.

The IRS only wants the information; it could be written in crayon for all they would care, as long as it matches the information in their files.
