Can I claim my 31 year old son who lives with me and is not working?
My 31 year old son has been out of work and living in my home for over three years. My wife I provide for 100% of his expenses. Not half, not 75%, but all of his expenses. Can I claim him as a dependent on my federal taxes? Some friends tell me I can.

Yes, you can claim him as a dependent. If his income is less than $3650 for the year and you provided at least half his support he is considered to be your "qualifying relative." Look at Pub 501 table 5, "Rules for claiming an exemption for a dependent" on page 12: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p501.pdf
