Applying for a FHA loan

How can I get the IRS to stamp a copy my 2008 1040 returns that I have submitted?

Call 1-800-829-1040 to get a FREE transcript of your 2008 tax file either mailed or faxed to you.

If you want a complete copy of the printed Form 1040 with all of the support forms and schedules, that has to be requested in writing and costs a sizable fee (in the $50 range) to get printed and mailed to you.

Then you have a problem, because it typically takes 2-4 weeks to get the tax return into the IRS computer system. Sorry!
