Amended status

I filed an amendment to my NYS taxes in Feb and have not received my refund. When I call the 800 number I'm told my information doesn't match their records. How do I find out what is happening?

I would talk to a CPA in your area and tell them the specifics. Im an accountant and work for a CPA and she deals with this for her clients.

First, double-check your copy of the amendment and make sure the SSN is correct.

Assuming that the SSN is correct, mail in a second copy. It is possible that the first copy either got lost in the mail or got lost by NY state. Mail the second copy certified mail return receipt.
