Am I owed a tax return?

When I file my taxes jointly with my husband I have to file injured spouse, for thoughs of you that don't know what that is its when your spouse owes like child support or other debt and by you being the one without the debt you have to file injured spouse so your money doesn't get touched. Any way I filed injured spouse in 2006 and every year because my husband owes child support for his daughter but they still took my money and I don't understand why that has never happened before. I'm pissed because I file that way every year and they still took my money, what can I do to get the money that I'm owed from the irs

MissCandy:

Did you work in 2006 and 2007? You see, for Injured Spouse to work in separating the refund to HIS and HER categories, you must have earned income.

If you filed as a homemaker or otherwise did NOT submit any earned income, you are NOT ENTITLED to any refund.

If you did have earned income, then call the IRS and ASK why you are getting your share of the refund.

Finally, if they refuse to give you your refund, then, for 2008, file Married Filing Separately.
