8000 tax credit for 2010

If I purchased ahome on july 17th 2010 and no bank or mortgage company was involved in purchase of this home and Iclosed before september 30th 2010 .Do I qualify for the 8000 tax credit.

Yes, you could have taken the credit on your 2010 tax return, assuming that the purchase qualified for the first-time home purchase (it's your main home, you qualify as a "first time buyer, " you did not buy it from a relative, and you still own it). You can submit an amended 2010 tax return form 1040-X to take advantage of this. For more info see: First-Time Homebuyer Credit

I bought a home on july17th 2010 and wanted to know that if I paid cash for it without any bank or mortgage company was involved in the purchase of that home.Did I qualify for the 8000 tax credit since the home was closed on before the september 30th closing deadline.And I was told that I could by filing an amended tax return for 2010.
