strange with H4 Visa and Tax return

Hi,

I know there are few other threads regarding the tax return but I am confused by them and unfamiliar words in them! I married my husband one month ago and entered US 10 days ago, he has been working here for one and half year now. I have no idea what to fill out and what to do. My husband is H1 visa holder and I am H4.

Anyone could kindly let me know what forms we should fill out and if I need to get any specific ID number or something from IRS?

Thank you so so much

You will probably file jointly, him as a resident alien and you as his non-resident alien spouse who CHOOSES to be treated as residet alien for all of 2007.

You both will file either Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ.

YOU will probably need to file Form W-7 to apply for an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN), which is a substutute for the SSN that you cannot apply for due to your H-4 status.

If you need help doing this, I do this professionally. Contact me at the email address below for details.
