    1098-E student loan interest statement
We have a Parent Plus loan in our name that our son is making the payments on. Can he deduct the interest on his taxes if the 1098-E is in our name but he is paying it?

The person who is LEGALLY LIABLE to pay the only is the person who gets to claim the deduction.
