1040 NR EZ - Advise
Hi:
Can somebody advise me if I am eligible for India-US Tax treaty and Standard deduction with the below conditions.
1) Came to US in Oct '06 (70 days) on a H1B
2) No other income and Filing single.
I would like to know if I can apply the $5150 (Tax Treaty) and also $3300 (Std Deduction) on my 1040 NR EZ.
If yes, where should I put the $5150 deduction.
advise.

You can claim the $3,300 personal exemption, but you are NOT eligible to claim the $5,150 standard deduction.
The $5,150 standard deduction is available ONLY to those on F-1 or J-1 visas.
