highschool study abroad. scams???

I plan on studying my first semester of highschool in England
I am now a junior.
I really dont want to be involved in a scam (who does) so
I was wondering if anyone knows of any good programmes.
or has anyone heard of oor used study-abroad-uk
the website is
Study Abroad Programmes - Home

heres what i've found out about them, maybe anyone can tell me if they sound legitimate
they are based in england. they have a contact number and a email addresse which i havent called but they are good with emails
also they are willing to help ask for sponsorships, so they will send letters to british companies in your area if you give thema directory they also will help organize a press release if you want for your local area.
The programme says that once they accept you, you send in a 250 deposit and once they find your family and school, send you the information and you accept them, you pay the full price.
I'm guessing you would get in contact with your host family since you have to write a letter that they send to them as a part of the application.
They are also referenced on other sites such as this here
Language Schools Program - Learn English
and
High School Programs Abroad Program - Study Abroad UK
and also in the application they request information to contact the counselor of your school, im not sure if they do but i think that is a part of it, and they also have call to make sure everythings okay at one point.

AND TWU i hear your concerns and complaints on it and i will make sure to mention that to anyone i know especially anyone that has a slight interest in study abroad.
the word needs to get out that.
that is a nightmare. and so i hope the best of luck to all of you.

ANY HELP AT ALL WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!THANK YOU!!!!!

Check out AFS and AIFS. They are totally legitimate and credentialed. I used AIFS to study abroad in Spain (in college). All credits were 100% transferable and the experience was amazing. They offered great support!

Best of luck to you!

Study Abroad UK is based in England. It offers High School exchanges to teens from around the world. There are lots of free things like a travel pass and trips.
