removing winko,auto.exe

my computer,running on windows xp has been infected by the auto.exe virus.autorun.inf and winko.the winko virus.in safe mode, i was able to delete all but the winko virus which was in the inaccessible (in the system volume information folder ).when i revert to normal mode, the viruses are stiLl there.please advise!!!!!

Click start>click run type in msconfig and then press enter. Goto the start up tab and uncheck everything except your anti virus,click ok and reboot.
