| | | porn in history My boyfriend constanty has porn sites on his browsing history. He says he doesn't look at the porn, and that he must have a virus that adds porn to his history. Is there a virus that can do this? I want to believe him, but all other guys I've asked have said that this has never happened to them. I just want to know if people do get viruses that add porn sites to their history. | | | | | | |

| It wouldn't add it to your history. In order for you to have a link in your history, the link has to be visited |

| To have porn in the browsing history, you actually have to click a link, to get there. There is a good chance that he may have clicked a link, (thinking it was something else) by mistake. That happened to me a couple of times. To see what is in your history, press the Ctrl key and the H key at the same time. To empty the history, click tools, internet options, then the delete history tab..Good Luck.. |

| I know that if you go to some "underground" sites (pirated software/music/movies/whatnot) somtimes they have popups with porn in them, which would show up in the history. That may have happened. Even if it happened once, it stays in the history for a while. You should clear the history, and then if it gets in there again, theres a good chance it was more than just a popup. |

| If it's always in his history then he goes to the site. It's possible every now and then that he clicks a pop up and goes to a porn site by mistake but if there are always porn links in the history then he goes there.
I dont know if any spyware that adds anything to your history, spyware tracks what your doing online and sells the data to advertisers. |

| There are some that have caused porn sites to pop up on your screen, but he would know it. If it is in the history he is looking at it.
Just tell him no problem, you will install a porn web site blocker for his computer so they won't pop up any more. Then put on on, that only you know the pass word for. |

| Sometimes when you go to a porn site by accident or intentionally, some sites do infect a computer with a virus by downloading files into your computer without you knowing it, and all of a sudden you constantly get pop ups most likely of porn or other things. That has happened to me. And the popups do appear in the history even if you never clicked on them. |
