    Office Excel 2007 chart wizard?
    Hello, I'm using Microsoft office excel 2007 and trying to graph the results of my science lab for my physics class.
    I have the information in the two different cells highlighted, and I have been told to look for a chart wizard!
    I cannot find this chart wizard and I don't know where else to look!
    Does anyone know how I can graph these results using this program?

    I don't have 2007, so have to trust this answer from another forum is accurate since it was marked as "best answer".

    Unfortunately I don't think there is still a wizard available, BUT adding charts in Excel 2007 is very easy.

    Highlight the data you would like to make into a chart and click Insert and select your chart type.

    Once you have selected your chart type you will get 3 new ribbons after View in the menu bar. These ribbons allow you to easily customize all aspects of your chart.

    The three tabs (Design, Layout, and Format) allow you to make different kinds of changes. Roughly speaking, Design allows you to make changes to the basic options regarding the chart (whether it's a worksheet or an object, what kind of chart is it, etc.), Layout allows you to add/edit/delete chart items like the title, legend, and so on, and Format allows you to change the appearance of the chart.

    NOTE: If you're familiar with chart-making in Excel 2003, then you're in for a disappointment with 2007. Although the chart system is supposedly much more powerful, it is a fraction of the ease of 2003 to use.

    I tried that, and it doesn't do it like I need it done! Its really comfusing!

    As noted above, that IS the way to get to the charting system, but no, it's not easy to use at all. Thanks to Microsoft for improving something that was fine to the point of unsuitability.

    A colleague of mine who does a LOT of charting in Excel recently told me a custom chart he could make in Excel 2003 in about 10 minutes took him almost 3 hours to do in Excel 2007.

    Great, Well I know how to get the graph up, but I don't know how to get the graph to graph the results of the two lists of information I have selected, it keeps saying there are like 12 different series of data points but there are only like 6 that are susposed to be graphed

    I'm almost tempted to tell you to load up your data in Excel 2003, make your chart, then you can open that sheet in 2007 to keep going...

    If you don't have it already, yes. But it's probably very inexpensive on "clearance" somewhere. Google it.
