Excel gridlines

How do I get gridlines to print when I am creating a prototype, so some cells have no data in them. I wish to fill them in later by pen. I know how to get the gridlines to print with data in the cells, but they will not print without any data in the cells. Thanks, dg

Excel gridlines/borders

This is a format issue. There is an icon for borders on the toolbar but if it doesn't show, use the format menu on the main toolbar. You can choose more toolbars in the view drop down menu. 1st you have to highlight whatever portion of the datasheet you want to show the gridlines on and then in the format dropdown menu you just choose format/cells/borders/and choose the thickness of the line and where you want it, inside and outside or whatever. Be careful when you print to make sure you are not printing every page that you can in a datasheet. You can highlight what you want to print and choose selection on your print options or you can print preview and see how many pages are going to be printed by looking at the lower left hand side of the screen. Hope this helps.
