I had a baby two months ago, before my baby was born I had a ultrasound and the doctor told me that something was going to be wrong with my babies toes. So from that moment on I started praying, up until the day he was born. When he was born his toes were disfigured - on one foot he had five toes but two were stuck together and on the other foot he had three toes and two were stuck together. My question is--I prayed and he said "ask and you shall receive" I asked but did not receive. So now I feel like I'm not good enough, because my prayers didnt get answered? Why do things happen to innocent children (period) not just mine-- all children. Please help me grasp this and yes I do love my child regardless. My faith has been lose and I don't want to live like that. I've had faith in God my whole life now I just feel lost!

maybe your son might have been born with supreme intelligence or abilities
god could have given anything to your son its your turn now to get your faith back and find his potential.otherwise how will you call your self a proud MOTHER?

Look deeply in your son's eyes and you will see that God did indeed answer your prayers.

He called upon you to take care of this special little boy. It is my beleif that God chooses the very special people to take care of His special gifts.

I know what you are saying and that is very true because that is what I tell myself it could have been worse. I guess I just started looking at the whole picture and its really deeper than my childs toes I kind of let that go, but everytime I see a child on T.V. with a problem I think of it all over again. I just have other problems and it just seem like something is going on wrong. I was praying, reading the bible, listen to the gospel station just trying to change my life before I even got pregnant and it still seems like I'm losing.

How can you say you are loosing, when you have just been blessed with a son.

When you see children with special needs, they are God's precious gifts and are deserving of love and that is why I think God only chooses those, like yourself, capable of giving such deep love.

Hold your head high, and know how very special you are.

I said it is more to the story and at the same time I'm going through it with my child-his father left. Why I don't know--but I do know everytime I look at him all I see is his father. So its just too much to handle sometimes.

You ARE blessed with a beautiful baby. You prayed for a healthy baby and now you have a healthy baby with you. This baby is a gift from God and like allheart has said God did answer your prayers.

There is no reason to lose faith, there is not any reason to believe God did not answer your prayers. See what many people forget. That sometimes the answer God has is an answer we may not like to hear, but whatever answer he does give us. The answer is better for our will, for everybodies will.

I understand somewhat your pain, my wife and I suffered a miscarriage. Why did that happened? Why did we suffer through so much pain. Now though we have a beautiful son. If that did not happen, we would never have met and been blessed with what we have now.

Focus on the nourishing the spirit within your little baby. Feed your baby soul and continue to have faith and strength that God will continue to bless you.

Remember that it is what is on the inside that completly matters, remember to give your baby everything that you would give any other baby. You need to be strong for your baby and focus on your baby and nothing else. Even if there is lots more to the story, God would not give you anything you can not handle.
