Spiritual gift of discernment

34 Answers My pastor told me I may have the spirit of discernment.Because I can say something and it happens. I can have a dream and it happens. I may have a feeling about someone and it turns out to be real. Can anyone tell me if they have it and what they feel or how they feel. I'm so confused because sometimes I do not want to tell anyone about my dreams for fear of losing frindships or accuintances because they may think I'm just being nosy which I am not it's just that I see and feel what I see and feel.They tell me I'm crazy. Some people say I have "Goat Mouth" I guess this is island talk but I'm not sure what it means. |

| I have had dreams also visions: visions that entails warning me of a person n when its about to happen it was like de ja vu! i have had bad feelings when someone is thieving or doing wrongs to me! a spirits talk to me saying go there or plz take it up before someone steals ur stuff or if someone steals from me i feel like a spirit is telling me where it is and who it is! every time i tell someone they just think im crazy but i just cant shake the way i feel when some thing is about to happen. i pray that these gift that i have will benefit someone at the end of the day. but one thing i love about these gift is it always saves me from making a mistake or trusting someone. | ||||

| I also have the gift of discernment a precious gifts that I am greatful to have received from the Lord. It is increadible to just be near to someone and feel what they are really inside, whether cold or deceitful or having a dual personality. But more Importantly, whatever the gift is classified as, the MAIN thing is how you use it. Forget about what it is called but USE it,all of it to GLORIFY GOD!!!!! | ||||

| I feel like i have this to it started when i was younger, i was in the car with my mom and i begged her to stop at the pet store in the mall so she did and then i dragged her to a specific location inthe store and said we need to pray forthis fish its going to die and after i said that it floated up to the top, also my parents had a friend named candy day and i always hated her from the first day i met her and pretty soon in their friendship she said bad things to my mom and dad and also did some very bad things and they are no longer friends. I also know when things are going to happen not big important things but when im about to get a text or what someone is about to say and its weird. I also ha a dream and a few days ago i had major dejahvoo and got really scared but i feel as though its a good thing. | What you people are talking about is NOT what discerning of spirits is. It is a Gift of the Holy Spirit that allows you to be made aware of what motivates of person, whether it be bad or good. It's not seeing demons, it's not knowing the future, it's not being spiritually sensitive. This isn't a magic trick that God randomly hands out...it is a Gift used to clean our the church and further the kingdom of Jesus Christ! | ||||
