Seeing death of a dead parent?
Hi, it's 6.10 in the morning and I am wide awake due to strange dream I saw .My father passed away in 2006 due to chronic illness and I saw him dead again this morning in December 2011 . I was making arrangements for his funeral, when I found that bamboos on which a dead is carried to crematorium is not there . I am trying to find one desperately and I wake up sweating . Realizing that it was a dream. It leaves me confused and pained as I don't know what this dream means and how do I take this pain it has left in my mind.

The question is what it means to you. Dreams of powerlessness, failure to do the right thing, or save someone are very common, and often are a way to sort out feelings of guilt for not doing enough for someone, or worry about their health and well being. It doesn't even have to be the person in the dream. Is there someone else in your life now who you are worried about? Is there a holiday or birthday or anniversary that is bringing up memories of your father. This year I'm going through each special memory day with a lot of emotion for my father, because he died in June. I don't dream about him, but just started having a few dreams about my mother, who died in 2005. You may have had dreams all along but didn't remember them - we all do - they might have just been in deep sleep in the middle of the night.

I agree it sounds like you feel something was left undone or unsaid before his death. Or you felt you did not do all for him you wanted to.
