How do I get rid of bad luck in my home?
A person that I work with (Who is a self proclaimed black cloud) gave me rugs that she ripped out of her new home from the second that I have had them installed it seems that I have inherrited her bad luck here are a few examples within the last 2 months:
1) The man installing it broke his ankle doing the job
2) The day after they were installed I slipped in the shower and broke my ribs.
3) My Dryer broke and got one from best buy (didn't work) then had one delivered from Lowe's (Didn't work) Finally after going through 4 dryers we have one that works but it take 2 cycles to dry.
4) Vacuum broke because the new rug produces too much lint. Had to buy a new vacuum.
5) Mom came to visit and fell out of car hurt herself in my driveway.
6) Area rugs a wrinkling that are ontop of rug causing visitors to trip.
7) I am a teacher and a parent handed me a card with $100 in it as a gift for the end of the year and I put it on my desk and at the end of the day it was gone.
8)Got kicked out of a pool area that my children and I have been using for 5 years because it is under new management and they decided not to include our small subdivision anymore.
9)Had keys made a Lowe's to my new job. Met a client there and none of the 3 keys even fit in the hole. Lost money because he left.

These are not things that I am bringing on myself. I have lead a really good life up until a few months ago.
Don't get me wrong I am thankful for my family, friends, and the blessing that I do have it just seems so weird to me.

Should I rip out the new rugs even though I can't afford it??

1,2,3,5,7,8,9: coincidences
4: Not uncommon with new carpet/rug
6: not uncommon. Wrinkles can cause tripping.

There is no reason to associate the new rug with other than 4 & 6.

You are wanting to do several things, blame things that happen on "luck"
Carpet does not contain luck, but not being careful cuases accidents

1 carpet installing is hard work, and many people that do that work get hurt fairly often

2. Sounds like you need slip pads in the shower, not having them is just not being careful

3. Sounds like you may have either a electric or gas supply issue, have you had that checked by a professional.

4. Old vac, reason they sell new ones, change in rug not luck, just old vac

5. how old is you mom, not meaning this wrong but elderly people often fall.

6. area rugs are very dangerous, when I used to do home inspections for medicare safety. Area rugs were always on the "NO" list

7. can we say, what was on your mind, putting a gift card on your desk, what would you tell your students if they had done that, they should know better

8. everyone in subdivision, it was a change of management

9 not have keys made lately? I often have to go back 4 or 5 times to get a correct key. You did not get it made early and try them first, or have the original with you. Poor planning

But to be honest I don't know how you can not say you are not bringing this on yourself for esp some of them, card on desk, keys??

I agree with rickj and fr_chuck
It is more a problem of carelessness and things not running smoothly.
If I left even a quarter where someone could get it it would be gone within a matter of time.
I have often had to go back and have them make a key again because they did not put it in the machine right or whatever in the first place (they should not charge you the second time-their mistake)
Your mother falling out of the car its likely she would have anyway.
Rugs bunching up can happen with certain type rugs try using the area rugs somewhere else and try non slip type rugs for on the rug.
You are just having bad synchronicity right now, it will eventually stop.

Luck does not exist.
Usually if someone is experiencing "bad luck" they are usually bringing upon themselves.(hence laws of attraction)

If you believe you will have bad luck, and you believe that things will go wrong, then negative energy will persist.

Well coincidence, I think not. The individual you work with is negative and their energies have been encoded or so to speak in the items given to you. What you need to do is get pure salt and in a solid line circled around the gifts, to clear the energy, remove in 24 hours and dispose completely off the property. You may sage the home and that should take care of it.

Cozyk, not to say that person is "evil" just negative and therefore projects negative vibrations this can be placed into places or things. Have you ever heard of psychic readings from items? They can determine many things. These methods I presented are just herbal ways to rid of negative influences (usually from vampire auras) and they are used commonly in house clearings. Not crazy talk it just depends on how open you are spiritually :) and what you believe in. I noticed that these methods of clearing people, places or things neutralizes them. This method is used by various cultures around the world, Egyptians, Native Americans and healers of all religions. Catholics burn sage on the alter... just seems like too many accidents and the writer mentioned that this person had "a black cloud" so before someone dies from the rugs they might be helpful tid bits... if they decide to keep them.

Well I cannot say for sure if you have bad luck or it is related to the Circumstances that everyone has spoke about above. But I can give you some pointers in doing a Spiritual cleaning in your house. Do you have a Botanica near you? If so first clean the house with Phenomnia, then get some Spiritual Wash in the Botanica Store, wash down your walls and floors. Then say some prayers uses some holy water and throw in the corners in your house. Buy some Dragons blood insence and Smoke out your entire house. That has been known to remove bad energy. It's just a suggestion.

Also, water and frankincense in a spray bottle too... get the corners since energy builds up in corners.

Good advice as usual, April! As you say, many different traditions from many places in the world, but I tend to hold with the view that ritual is a tool to engage the dreaming aspects of your mind. It's your intention that is powerful, the ritual is just the vehicle. So use the ritual that works for you and don't get hung up on "doing it right." Techniques I've used for clearing objects of unfamiliar, possibly noxious energy, including burying them in Mother Earth for a month or leaving them out under the sun. Neither ideal for carpets. Hmm. Aprilwine's frankincense sounds like a good "solution." And it would make them smell good, too. What does your co-worker mean by "black cloud"? As in unlucky herself? Or as in a powerful cloud full of sparking energy and life-giving rain? If the former, she ought to work on doing some clearing/balancing work herself. Anyway, try the sage/incense/frankincense clearing and see if it works. If you have good intuition yourself, you'll feel in your gut immediately a sense of "Ahh that's better" or "This isn't doing anything." Those feelings should be trusted, but not absolutely trusted.

Or get rid of the rugs. Or call a professional medicine worker.

Good luck, and Blessings!

Buy some lucky bamboo plants, one for each room.

Even though I don't really believe in bad or good luck, at least you may feel better that you have done "something" to help ease your mind, and current situation.

Just take one deep breath and think positive. Sometimes things just don't work out how we plan. Happens so we just got to brush it off. You thank god that you are blessed with your family, friends that's all you need and tomorrow is another day, you learn from today what not to do tomorrow. Say a little prayer and think positive cause I have too gone through bad luck but that should not stop you, and all you negative suckers give some slack!not everything is solved with answers. My granmother can run faster than all you bigheads and sure is the last one to fall, and you never know when your going to slip and fall on ice somewhere so think twice before you tell someone they are careless. We all human and we make mistakes so at least say something that's worth saying than bringing someone down. Think before you say something and kristen keep the carpet and think positive, forget all these suckers. From a girl that has some kind of peace of mind

This is a remedy for bad luck. In the east, people practice the Mandi Bunga ritual to dispel bad luck. Its quite an easy procedure, and it works. Try it.
