    A Song From My Childhood
Does anyone recognize this song from these few pieces of lyrics.
I remember it as a child being played as like a comedy type record on children's radio shows.
The song was basically about someone running and trying to keep up with a car ( I think ) and as the song went on the car was getting faster and faster.
I am trying to find the song title and artist. It was a male singer
The few bits of lyrics I can remember are
Beep beep, beep beep, my heart ( or horn ) went beep beep beep
    And another bit that went
Now I'm going 110 as fast as I can go.
If anyone can help I will be very grateful.
    Thanks

Sounds like "Beep Beep" by the Playmates:

    Was this it?:

    Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep
    While riding in my Cadillac
    What to my surprise
A little Nash Rambler was following me
    About one third my size
The guy musta wanted to pass me up
As he kept on tooting his horn
I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn
    Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep

I pushed my foot down to the floor
To give the guy the shake
But the little Nash Rambler stayed right behind
He still had on his brake
He musta thought his car had more guts
As he kept on tooting his horn (beep beep)
I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn
    Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep

My car went into passing gear
And we took off with gust (whoosh)
    Soon we were going ninety
Musta left him in the dust
When I peeked in the mirror of my car
    I couldn't believe my eyes
The little Nash Rambler was right behind
You'd think that guy could fly
    Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep

Now we were doing a hundred and ten
    This certainly was a race
For a Rambler to pass a Caddy
    Would be a big disgrace
The guy musta wanted to pass me up
As he kept on tooting his horn (beep beep)
I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn
    Beep beep beep beep
His horn went beep beep beep

Now we're going a hundred twenty
As fast as I can go
The Rambler pulled along side of me
As if we were going slow
The fella rolled down his window
And yelled for me to hear
"Hey buddy how do I get this car outa second gear?"

Childhood experiences no longer occur. [ 6 Answers ]

Okay, so I'm 15. This TECHNICALLY makes me a teenager... which isn't far from being a child... which sounds stupid for me to say childhood in the first place. Anyway... When I was little, starting at the age of 5 (which is as far back as I can remember) I would sleepwalk. I'd sleepwalk and...

Lost childhood memories [ 4 Answers ]

I can not remember any part of my childhood. I am 16 years of age, and can't remember things about my family from when I was even 11. I did not have a bad home life, but my mother was bi-polar manic depressive, and I seem to have blocked out all memory of her in my childhood, including both good...
