Song about rain, in a Black Donnellys episode

Its raining in the house/its raining on the new chair (or future?)/and we can't keep it out now/nothing we can do will keep it out now/and the honeymoon is over

Those are some of the lyrics. Hopefully somebody will recognize them?

I've spent going on three days searching for the name/artist of this song, and I've had absolutely no luck so far. Nor has anyone else I've talked to that's been looking as well.

It's featured in the latest online only episode of NBC's The Black Donnellys, called 'All of Us Are in the Gutter'. Episodes are divided up into six parts, so it's the very last one if anyone wants to take a look. Try going to NBC.com > 24|7 Video > Rewind > Full Episodes > The Black Donnellys click over to part 6 after the commercial if it starts you off at the beginning. Song begins about halfway though with two people sitting in a diner, then moves on to two guys standing outside under a sign, then the paint mixing. May or may not work for people outside the US. NBC sucks like that. (I highly recommend the show if you haven't seen it!)

Even if you can take a stab at who the guy sounds like, that'd be a start!

Any help on this would be much appreciated!

*edit*

Sorry, those links don't really help in your case!

I can't find anything with those lyrics either! *frustrated*

Unfortunately since the show is not-quite-but-almost canceled and they're only playing the remaining episodes online, they don't list anything past the tv-aired eps on Tunefind and I believe all the other links only list songs from early episodes. Also searched all message boards about the Black Donnellys to no avail. Think I have to rely on people just recognizing the song at this point. Gonna try to move the lyrics to the top of the post so that when someone hovered over the question they see the lyrics first.

Thanks for the reply though.

Yeah, it's strange that we can't find anything from the lyrics either though. From what I could tell they used some pretty famous songs!?

Was it a good show? I've never seen it being in the UK and all!

If it's on the web, could you link to the correct part of the episode here, people might have a quick listen and find it that way!?

The show is great! It's considered a young irish mob type show, but it's not at all what I consider akin to stuff like The Godfather and The Sopranos. To me its more about the power struggles and relationships between four brothers, three of whom are constantly getting themselves into trouble and the other one trying to balance his own issues with taking care of theirs. Very funny at times, but also heavy with (good) drama.

Its better than it sounds. I'm not so great with summarizing.

I have also been looking for the song title and/or singer for this song with no luck. The lyrics also contain, "the honeymoon is over", and I've found other songs with this phrase, but not the one used on TBD episode Monday, April 16th. Surely someone is familiar with this song or can help in some way. Please. It's a great song.
