    Walmart radio song
I recently heard a song at walmart over the radio with the lyrics.
'the grass is green and the sky is blue'. I've heard this song before but haven't been able to hear the name of the song or band. I'm sure its from the 90's, mid to late.

    311 - Summer Of Love - 1990

I thought about my scene today
And I've finally got the words to say
The truth is cutting like a knife
Going to use it to cut away my strife
The grass is green and the sky is blue
My head is clear and my thoughts are true, yeah
    That's what Im saying

    Callin' out young and old
We got a thing that can't be sold
The time it takes to rise above
    In the summer of love

It's the summer of love I say

I wake up each day to the sun
And it's hard to chose what to do for fun (and man that's a drag)
    A blissful world surrounds me
And my brothers and sisters love is always free
Don't you know that I've waited my whole life
Just to show what's inside and let my love flow
    That's what I'm sayin'

    Callin' out young and old
We got a thing that can't be sold
The time it takes to rise above
    In the summer of love

It's the summer of love I say

I declare by the power vested in me
This is the summer of love and unity
Oh I say by the power vested in me
This is the summer of love and unity
I declare by the power vested in me
This is the summer of love and unity
Oh I declare by the power vested in me
This is the summer of love and unity
Oh I declare by the power vested in me
It is the summer of love

It's the summer of love I say

Amanda Wilkinson - No More Me And You - 2005

Don't tell me if there's ever
    No more me and you
Just let me keep on thinking
The grass is green and the sky is blue
Just leave me the sweet illusions
    Faith and hope and truth
Yeah, leave me the sweet illusions
    Faith and hope and truth
If there's ever no more me and you

Because I've got to keep on paying the rent
And I've got to keep on making the bed
And I've got to keep on walking around acting normal
And I've got to keep on saying a prayer
And I've got to keep on giving a care
And I've got to keep on walking around breathing
    And I don't think I will
If there's ever no more me and you

If it's ever the last time
And you know it is the last time
    Kiss me 'till you're convinced
    I don't know it's the last time
And leave me the sweet illusions
    Faith and hope and truth
Yeah, leave me the sweet illusions
    Faith and hope and truth
If there's ever no more me and you

    (Chorus)

    And I don't think I will
If there's ever no more me and you
    Baby
If there's ever no more me and you

No, its not those, it's a male singer and more of a rock song than 311. And he says 'the grass is green and the sky is blue' in his chorus throughout the song.

Ok, is it "Perfect Day" by One Dollar Short? If not, it's still a pretty decent song. Hope it helps. Here are the lyrics.

It's one of these days when the sun is shining
And the sky it is so blue
    And the birds are whistling
    The happiest of tunes

The sky is blue and the grass is green
It's the best damn day I've ever seen (woah)
This is the most perfect day that I've seen
    Sky is blue
    Grass is green
This is the most perfect day
    That I've ever seen

Mr. Whippy van is in the distance
Kids in the street are running for ice cream
Sounds of the laughter bring back memories
Of a time I left behind
Today I feel like the action movie hero's
    Come to save the day
I'm so glad I got out of bed on a day like today
    (On a day like today)

Sky is blue and the grass is green
It's the best damn day I've ever seen (woah)
This is the most perfect day that I've seen
    Sky is blue
    Grass is green
This is the most perfect day
    That I've ever seen

    On a day like today

Sky is blue and the grass is green
It's the best damn day I've ever seen (woah)
This is the most perfect day that I've seen
    Sky is blue
    Grass is green
This is the most perfect day
    That I've ever seen

I guess it was just one of those days

    Hiho there :)

It might be the song of Deine Lakaien, "May be". I can't find whole lyrics of this one (it was on "Live in Berlin" album), but in chorus there're words "today I've got good news for all of you: the grass is green and the sky is blue".
