Name of a Song by Karen Carpenter

Hi everybody.

I am new to this site so am not quite sure what the format is, but I have a question about a song that was sung at the end of a televised film about The Carpenters.

It was the last song in the film and it was sung by Karen Carpenter.

Some of the words were :-

"When my life is over
Remember when we were together
We were alone and I was singing tis song to you"

I know it is not much to go on, but my wife is driving herself crazy trying to find the name of the song.

Can anyone help me with this song title please ?
