| Looking for title/artist of a late 80's instrumental song with Star Trek samples I'm looking for the title of a late 80's song with sampled speech from the Star Trek original series episode "The Paradise Syndrome". The song played on the local university radio station fairly often around '87 or '88, not sure which. It was an instrumental, synthesizer-based, that kind-of played like a soundtrack to that episode, because of the way the samples were placed. The samples included snippets of dialog from the show, such as:
McCoy: "That's probably how the planet has survived all these centuries" (repeated a few times)
McCoy: "That's probably how the planet has survived all these centuries. The Preservers put an asteroid deflector on the planet"
Spock: "Which has now become defective and is failing to operate"
Spock: "Spock to Enterprise" (the music picks up pace here)
Not a lot to go on, I know .. if there are questions, I'll answer them to the best of my abilities. As a fan of both that kind of music, and Star Trek, I really enjoyed that song and still hear it in my head now and then, so finding it on CD or MP3 if that's all that's available would be a real thrill.
Thanks for any help anyone can give!
