I was sued three years after cc debt collection expired

The statue of limitation for credit card suit is 3 years in Oklahoma. The cards disappeared in 2004 with the 'boyfriend'. 5 years later I was served papers by a law firm who sued for the debt on one of the cards.

If there was no activity on the card for three years and that's the Statute, then that's your legal defense.

The 'b/f' obviously used one of the cards, somehow, during that time, which would have nulled the sol. Why did you not cancel, tear up, destroy all of them. Even after you had found he took them you should have put a hold on all. You would have had a record of the credit card numbers on past statements.
