    Money owed me
    An ex-friend borrowed $4000; signed in writing to repay me. That was 8 months ago. I want to sue in Phoenix AZ. Any suggestions? Coercion was used, because I was promised trips, dinners, pool time, entertainment, sex...

    Ok, as long as it is in writing,
    They can of course if they prove it was given as a gift in exchange for sex, trips and the such.
    I will also assume the paper did not say this was in exchange for sex, trips and the such .

    So go to small claims court and sue them.

    You may wish to look up the meaning of coercion. All else aside, sex in return for money is called prostitution and is illegal.

    It is an interesting theory, though. You'll lose, but it will brighten up the Judge's day.

    If you have a paper that says IOU $4K. Then, by all means take him to court and sue over the money. You will probably win, but then you have to collect. To do so, you will need to find where this person worrks and garnish his salary or where he banks to attach his bank accounts.

    And if you DO sue him, unless the document mentions what you got in exchange for the $4K, I wouldn't mention it.
