Justice Court citation for old credit card debt

I was just given a justice court citation for old credit card debt that I incurred with a old boyfriend. I am now married and do not work. What do I do? I did not recieve anything in the mail in regards to going to be sued. I live in Texas. What do I do?

What state was the debt incurred in? That would make a difference. Again, it depends on how old the debt is, whether your name is on the credit card, etc.

I'm not very familiar with Texas law, what does a Justice Court Citation say?

Is it notice to appear for a trial or hearing?

Is it a notice of intent to sue, that requires you to respond as to weather you will defend
the claims or not?
