    Bank Garnishment
I won a judgement against my ex-employer in small claims court in ontario. My ex-employer filed a notice of motion to set aside the judgement which he lost. I then started the garnishment process to garnish monies from his bank account. My question is my ex-employer has now sent another notice of motion to dismiss the motion that he lost; will this affect the garnishment process and how long does a garnishee have to respond when they are served with garnishment papers? Thanks.

In most states, the paperwork must be answered and returned within 10 days of receipt.

I'm not sure about Canada though, maybe someone else will have more information
From your part of the world.

    Good Luck.

If they take the whole 1,000 and change we owe, we will lose our house. That is a little less than half of his income....
