I am trying to get a thrift store up & running & I could use any helpful advise, tips, etc. And also if anyone knows how to build my own clothing racks and/or shelving?

What kind of thrift store is this going to be, please? For profit or non-profit; perhaps representing some type of organization? It would help us to help you the best to know that.

Will you be renting out or owning the building? Whether you own or rent could make a difference as to if you can be attaching things to the walls.

Building free-standing, simple shelves inexpensively out of wood is not hard. Depending on what kind thrift store you are going to be running, it may be possible for you to get most of your shelving material as well as clothing racks/material to build them, for little or no cost.
