I have a small business that does retail sales, I purchased the business a year and a half ago. I purchased the business for a total of $$ with the understanding of having a 5 year lease with a 5 year option...after a year of trying to get the owner of the original business which I purchased to sign the lease with me, he leased to another company much larger than mine...they said they would sign a lease with me and they wanted me as a tenant but with a lesser time than the 5 year/5 option lease understanding...finally two months ago I said I was not going to pay the rent unless they signed the lease with me...well I received the pay or quit notice today from the larger company?? I did pay them rent..but I have no lease agreement or anything....If you can help great
